White Christmas

We have been enjoying a week of snow storms and uncharacteristically gray skies in Durango. Cully has been focusing on "movin' snow", decorating (see Grady) and wrapping presents (nearly impossible to pick just one bow). But most of all we have been anxiously awaiting the ever popular, even more so than Santa, arrival of cousin Leigh! Now that she's here, Cully thinks we should all go ice skating....hmmm we'll keep you posted, interesting idea considering he MUST be held whenever he spots an icy patch!

A day out with dad

Our little locomotive lunatic had the chance to "live the dream" as they say and ride the Durango Silverton Narrow gauge Railroad to Cascade village on Friday. Three generations of Feeney boys went for the ride Cully, Conor and Papa Rick took in the views and enjoyed time together. The boys rounded out the day with a visit to our local brewery. You've all heard of the pinball wizard, well it seems we have a shuffle board prodigy on our hands. He's headed for the pros...is there such a thing? Grady, Flex and I just spent the day laying around...literally!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Holidays everyone! We had a great fun and family filled Thanksgiving. It was a cozy, snowy day which some how made it okay to just cuddle up and eat that second serving of pie! The weekend after Turkey day we headed into the Wimminuche wilderness to cut down a Christmas tree. Cully found an adult sized sledding hill and barreled down with Dad. After plucking him out of a snow bank at the bottom and brushing off his face he declared the experience as "not awesome". After securing the perfect tree the Griswold's headed home to decorate. Cully helped hang the ornaments and Grady loved the lights. That evening both boys were tucked in bed (a Christmas miracle itself) and Conor and I sat on the couch admiring our tree, for about 30 seconds before the entire tree came crashing down! Some structural engineer...
